A smooth gloss finish can be slick when wet. Full flake floors have built-in texture, and we can add an anti-slip aggregate to the topcoat on any system. If you rinse boards or wetsuits in the garage, tell us at the estimate and we will plan for it.

Full broadcast covers the base completely with chips and hides the most dirt. Partial broadcast scatters chips over a solid color, so more of the base color shows and the floor looks plainer.

It is better in sun and when you need the floor back fast. Epoxy builds thicker per coat and costs a little less. For most garages here we combine them, with epoxy as the base and polyaspartic as the topcoat.

If the existing coating is well bonded, yes, after it is sanded and cleaned. If it is peeling anywhere, it needs to come off first, because a new coat will not hold a failing one down.

Standard epoxy yellows in sunlight, so on exposed patios we use a UV-stable system, often polyaspartic, with texture added. Epoxy can still serve as a base under a UV-stable topcoat on covered patios.
